"Love isn’t uploading a picture on social media and expressing how much you’re crazy or infatuated with someone. Love is how she gently lays you down and puts a pillow behind your head for you while she kisses you; letting phrases such as “you’re mine” come out of her mouth. It’s how she takes your ear rings out for you because “it’s not good to sleep in them.” Love is more than words. It’s how she rides in the car with you listening to music you love but she can’t stand; she just likes listening to you get all happy and sing along to it. Love isn’t seeing each other every single day; It’s having to go months without and spend nights on FaceTime just to get a little taste of somewhat being together. Love isn’t buying her gifts all the time, but instead, going out of your way at the grocery store to get the things she loves before she comes home. There’s nothing better than being loved."

One day she’s going to stop. Realization will hit her that you were nothing but a waste of time. Flashbacks of sleepless nights and endless waiting will seep through her mind. Tears. Longing. Patience. Effort… Her effort wasn’t good enough. That’s what hurt the most.

The fact that she, wasn’t good enough.

You should’ve appreciated her. She deserved the best and gave you nothing but the best. But, what did you give her? All you had to offer were days without talking and late replies. Never did you show her off. Never did you say those three words she was dying to hear. Never did you treat her right. You kept her waiting and wasted her time.

And when the day finally comes, the day she gives you up, that’s when you’ll realize just how badly you fucked up.
